Your task is the explore the popular video sharing site YouTube.


  • Go to YouTube and create a free account if you haven't already (note: if you have a Google account you can use it to log in to YouTube)
  • Search for the TED Talks series of lectures on YouTube
  • Shoot and edit a 2-5 minute movie in which you ask five conference attendees to give you a one sentence answer to the question, "What is the value of technology in education?"
  • If you don't have a video camera Hans & Eric have one for you to borrow
  • Upload your video to YouTube
  • Bonus Content: leave a comment on your video, add it to a playlist
  • Bonus Content: tell the world about your video by tweeting about it or posting a link to your facebook wall


During the share out and Q&A be prepared to discuss the following questions:
  • What tasks did you accomplish?
  • How you think this tool might be useful to you as an educator?
  • How might this tool be useful to you in the classroom?
